Creative Direction
Notion Playground is a YouTube channel series launching alongside a collection of templates I'm releasing in 2026. I created over 5 hours of training content that takes newcomers from beginner to advanced understanding of Notion's capabilities, making complex workflows accessible and—true to the name—playful. I also built a beta testing system to gather feedback online and offline, using direct user input to refine the content and core concepts.
The challenge
I needed to master Notion deeply enough to teach it effectively while staying current with the 3.0 launch and new features. Building my first template took extensive trial and error—I went back to the drawing board repeatedly when something didn't land. At the same time, I developed the full production pipeline: scripting, editing, sound design, graphics, and a phased marketing strategy for launch. The hardest part was making intricate databases and workflows sync seamlessly while keeping the learning experience genuinely fun.
The why
I intentionally infused play into Notion Playground. Productivity tools often feel sterile. As a creative strategist, I create "awe and wonder" moments that help people discover their own genius. This project became a proving ground for everything I've learned over the years—I started fresh with self-imposed constraints: stick to Notion, do more with fewer apps, and see what's possible within one powerful platform.
The impact
I immersed myself in the Notion creator ecosystem and identified a gap: reaching new audiences who've either never heard of Notion or tried it once and bounced. I've always kept my notes organized—friends have joked about my "vibe coding" IRL long before it became a buzzword. With new tech launching daily, I felt compelled to simplify and unlock Notion's untapped potential. I want to collaborate with other Notion creators and out-of-the-box thinkers who want to make a positive difference, break the status quo, and operate at a high level.
