Who am I?

Hi, I’m Kamau—an explorer of creativity, energy, and the spaces in between. By trade, I’m a music producer, art designer, and web creator, but my work is really about connection: weaving together science, art, and the unseen to uncover deeper truths about how and why we create.

My journey has taken me through unexpected terrain—biophysics, bioenergetics, energy work, and ancient systems of knowledge. Along the way, I’ve been drawn to the mysteries hiding in symbols, sound, and the subtle forces that shape our world. For me, art isn’t just self-expression; it’s how we connect with something larger, something that reminds us that being alive is both creative and transformative.

I started a Waking World as a way to share that exploration—with no pretense of having it all figured out. It’s a space where creative flow meets the subtler forces we often overlook—a blend of science, art, and ancient wisdom that’s less about finding certainty and more about deepening awareness. Above all, it’s about connection: to ourselves, to the creative process, and to one another, especially in a time when so much feels uprooted. I founded a new Renaissance Circle Newsletter within as a way to follow up on topics from the blog and connect with others who feel the pull of these ideas. There’s beauty in rebuilding and reimagining together, and this, I hope, can be a small part of that.

When I’m not creating, I’m usually deep in the mysteries, the truth stranger than fiction—where creativity, science, culture, and spirituality overlap. I’ve always been fascinated by how forgotten wisdom and modern perspectives can inform each other, and how small shifts within us ripple outward. Ultimately, I’m just here to ask questions, share what I’ve learned (and unlearned), and connect with those who feel the pull to explore, create, and find meaning in between the spaces we coexist.
